Tools for Change - Savannah, sponsored by the Kellogg Foundation, is a project spearheaded by The Harambee House, Inc./Citizens for Environmental Justice (HH/CFEJ) that is helping communities engage in Community-based Participatory Research (CBPR). The project focused its initial research on violence and its correlation with environmental factors such as indoor/outdoor air pollution, lead, asbestos and mold in homes. It is working to mobilize community stakeholders (i.e. youth, residents, academic institutions, neighborhood leaders, public policy makers and elected officials) to identify local concerns and find solutions to their identified problems.
